For many students, the lunch they get at school may be the only nutritious meal of the day. On weekends, many don't get enough to eat and return to school on Monday ready to eat instead of ready to learn. You can change
that by sponsoring meals for one, two or a whole classroom of kids.
The goal of the weekEnd Hunger Program is to provide children at risk of hunger with easy access to nutritious
food over the weekend when school lunch is not available.
A bag containing non-perishable items for meals and snacks is sent home each weekend so that students can return on Monday, ready to study and learn, instead of waiting for their next meal. For the 2019-2020
school year Hope for the Hungry Pantry is supporting 40 students from New Haven Elementary school.
To volunteer to help with this program, please click here to CONTACT US. Many are needed to
sort, pack and deliver the food to the school.
The program is currently open to all students at both New Haven elementary schools. If you would like more information, or would like to sign up your child/family, please contact your school office.
